Why we exist
The Foundation was established in 2022 by the Călin family (Daniela and Cătălin), based on their personal experience of raising their daughter, Cristina, diagnosed with spastic tetraparesis. We want that where the system stops, we open doors to new opportunities, bringing hope instead of resignation. Our mission is to demonstrate that Romania can be better for the most vulnerable among us, replacing the phrase “severe disability” with an approach based simply on supporting the integration of persons with disabilities.
Years of searching, bureaucratic hassles and moments of exhaustion have taught us one simple and tough thing: adults with disabilities need someone to fight alongside them — not just in theory, but every day.
We chose to turn this fight into a public mission: to open doors to possibilities where the system stops, to bring hope where resignation has set in, and to show that Romania can be better for the most vulnerable among us.
